New Stuff!

A couple of neck pieces in the making:

In the geometric style that will be hopefully shown in Kate McKinnon's new book (fingers crossed!)

I sold the first two I made already, so now I feel the need to make more.  Especially since the book will be out soon :)

And some new-ish beads:

I have made these in the past, but not for a long while.  Textured hollows, in a pleasing color palette.

Knitty Things

Knitted cuffs:
I have about 15 of these ready to go for the next show :)

And a fabulous knitted necklace:
It's about 6 feet long with a glass button closure.
You can wrap it up to four times around your neck, depending on the look you're going for.  I have a couple of different colorways ready to go.  Making progress!  Almost ready?  Who am I kidding?  I have a TON of work yet to do before I am good to go to my first show of the year!

Hearts!

They're not just for February, you know :)
These are all NEW focal beads!
I guess I am on a big-bead kick for some reason.
Enjoy :)

More Spacers!

I know, I know.....NOT NEW!  I have lots of these sets listed in my Etsy shop.  But for the first time ever I will have sets of 30 spacers at my shows!  Each set saves you $2.00 off buying them individually.  So save up your pennies because I'll have lots to sell in Des Moines next month!!

Thanks for the Memories Blog Hop!!

My "Thanks for the Memories Blog Hop" contribution:

This bracelet has a couple of meanings for me.  Mainly it's about the spacers.  I sell a LOT of spacers at shows and online.  Let's face it....making spacers is boring.  Nothing to get excited about.  Cleaning them is a pain too.  But I make them.  Why?

  For this guy:

This is Ayden.  He had a rough start.  He is the reason I do whatever I have to do to make sure his life goes as smoothly as humanly possible from now on.  So every spacer I have to make (and clean!) is for this guy's future.  And believe me, most days I need a reminder why I make these little buggers:)

Have I told you that I come from a long line of crafty/creative people?  This is bracelet is also about them.  See the vintage crystal at the end of this bracelet?  (sorry about the crappy photos....no light today!)

That is a nod to all the people that have come before me.  My grandmothers, my mother....I would like to think they are proud of me, and my business.  So a tiny reminder to carry on.  Even when it gets tough.

Large focal cones!  Love them :)

Each beads measures about 1 3/4 inches long.  Nice.  Just the tip of the iceberg over here......lots of new stuff for you to fondle at my next show.  February in Des Moines. Who does not love that?

Christmas Swap!

Okay...due to the fact that BOTH Ayden and I have been horribly sick over the holidays.......I did not get around to opening my swap gifts.  But today I sat at the kitchen table and had a little Ayden-is-back-to-school-so-I-will-open-all-my-gifts party.

Not exactly how it is supposed to be done, but what can I say?  Illness is running through my town like swamp water.  A quick pic is all you're gonna get too.  Sad state of affairs over here, let me tell ya!  I do love all my gifts, and so appreciate everyone making them and going to the expense of shipping them!

Now i am going to go take a nap.  Maybe tomorrow I will actually get around to making a few beads?
