Fresh from the kiln:

Dijon and turquoise. I created these beads with the intent of making a necklace.

But when I see them all layed out

for some reason they remind me of "Little Shop Of Horrors".....

You remember that movie, right? The giant man-eating plant and her babies?

Now that that visual is stuck in your head, I'll leave you.

I just did not care. love how long and crochet-cool they are:) and then more of these: from my tutorial that you can find to the right of your screen.

these have my new "ink blot" beads on the ends. fabulous!

but two pair in purple? what is my purple thing I have going on lately?

also, I made these lovely colorful babies:

that frame your face, and bounce around in a fun and hip way

also, on the long side.

what is with me and all the long earrings?

well, that about covers it. you all have a nice chocolate bunny now.

April Gift is ready!

April birthstone is diamond! Of course, these are not made with diamonds:) I used a setting with a Swarovski crystal and a nice platinum gray base. These are quite dimensional: I tried out a new technique to bring some depth to the piece. And I am giniving away this one:

Some info on diamonds:

Formed deep within the earth where there is intense heat and pressure, Diamonds are simply crystallized carbon. Volcanic activity of centuries ago brought these gemstones to the earth's surface, where they are found either within volcanic rock formations or washed out into rivers. India is thought to be the first river-bed source of Diamond mining, but today these gemstones are found primarily in Australia, the Soviet Union, and Africa.

No more notable it its uncut state than a plain pebble upon the beach, the true beauty of the Diamond was not revealed until the 16th century, when gemstone cutting and polishing techniques were perfected. Prior to this time, it was considered taboo to modify the original state of a Diamond. Today, the value and appeal of this stone depends largely upon how skillfully it is cut and faceted.
