On Wednesday :) Sorry about that--but here is what I was working on yesterday:
A nice little line of new fun earrings! Some of these are now staying at the new Quilt Center in town. Here's a close-up of the flower earrings:

I Don't Know from ATO Records on Vimeo.

One. Sexy. Bracelet.

I just finished up a kit from Kate McKinnon, the Bat Ended Screwt:
Lovely. Not for beginners, however. Have some knowledge of seed bead stitching before starting. Other than that--I highly recommend. Don't get too excited about this one--it's mine, all mine :)

New "Rhumba" beads, fashioned after the seed bead version in the last beading magazine:
Here's how they look all strung together:
Of course I had to make some in transparent colors:
This pic was taken on the windowsill of my studio:
Pretty, isn't it?

My friend Mary has been making lots of seed bead Rhumba's. Here's a link to her fabulous bracelet:

Well, maybe not local, but close enough. I went to Omaha on Tuesday and had to stop here:

And buy these:These size 15 charlottes are my favorites from the day:

Look at this dog! I love Great Danes.

My princess:
wouldn't love one, however.

Here's Ayden!

Ayden is working so hard to clean the mud off his shoes--

With a screwdriver, of course. What else would he use?

Work Table Tuesday

Here's what I'm working on:

A nice kit by Kate McKinnon. I'm having a good time with it so far :)

My garden outside the studio is starting to take shape. Ayden and I planted this pansy:

A gift from Mary and Donna!

This rose was picked out by Ayden because it's pink, his favorite color at the moment:

Note the wine bottles in the background from my Open Studio party, and the iris bulbs coming in.

Tanya and I put this clematis in place as well as the jar and little red birdy thing:
We did have a little help from my husband, of course:)
Wow--that's a lot of pictures for today! I did take some cute ones of Ayden this afternoon--but you'll have to wait until tomorrow for those. Can you stand the suspense?

Open Studio!

So the open studio at my new pad was fab! Lots of people came to check out the new workspace. I totally forgot to take any pics of the party Friday night, but I did get some of the beading session we had on Saturday :)

Here's Mary and Mona:

And Kathy and Tanya:

And Christina and Kim:
Everyone was looking at beads and working away!

Studio Torching!

I made my first beads in the studio today!! Broke in the new torching table real good :) Ice tea and cheeze balls make for a fun torching environment:

Those are my jars of mandrels chillin' in jars of split peas in the background.

Is that beer in the fridge? Well, yes--but it's for later:)Presses, bead release and a box of shorty glass pieces:

Well, that's it for the torch tour. Watch for the pics of new beads coming soon!

New Glass & Ayden

New glass came in today, isn't it pretty? All opaques this time with the one exception of crystal clear:

And I'm starting to fill up my glass cabinet:

This is just what came in today. I have lots more to move in this weekend!

And Ayden with his new haircut:
I'm whispering in his ear ,"Smile for the camera, Ayden!"
Ayden sure does like "gram's little house" as he calls it:
Grass seed might be helpful, huh? All in good time.

Studio part 4

Ah, the mini-fridge. What studio would be complete without one of these? Ayden is keeping a stash of juice boxes in here now. Grown-up drinks will be in soon :)
Just to the right of that, you can see a bit of my torching table, getting ready for my torch.
And yet another bookcase, not quite filled to the brim. With more jars of goodies on top, naturally:

Thanks to all that came out to the Omaha Bead Bazaar this weekend!

Studio part 3!

More art on the walls:Most of these were purchased off Etsy, or from local artists.

And a shelf filled with jars of goodies:
I just love jars for everything. It's nice to have stuff out so I can see it :)

Studio part 2

A comfy leather chair for reading sits beside a bookcase:

And at the top of the same bookcase, my favorite Target lamp highlights some assorted goodies:Yes, it almost touches the ceiling, but I can still reach the lamp to turn it on! More pics again tomorrow :)

This Saturday I'll be at the Westside Community Center for the Omaha Bead Bazaar. Mark your calander!!
