More progress was made on the studio while I was in Iowa this weekend--
I know, it looks like it has the Chicken Pox, but really we're just getting it ready to paint :) Can't wait until I get the outside done so I can start sprucing up the landscaping!

A quick shot of the inside:
I don't think I'll need lights at all during the day--it's so bright and light with all the windows!

Making some progress on the studio:
I know it doesn't look like much now, but wait a few more days (or weeks)--it's going to be fabulous!

New lentils with loads of color and texture:

These will make their first public appearance in Marshalltown, IA on Saturday!! Come out to see me, why don't you?

Bracelet made on nylon cording with seed beads and skulls--perfect for this Halloween:
Can you believe that cool skull button found at my local Jo-Ann's? My daughter already tried to steal the bracelet, so we're going to share it. I imagine that she'll "borrow" it, and I'll never see it again!

Matching earrings too, of course:

Well, the concrete is in! Next week, my studio starts going up--very exciting! Here's the guys, hard at work:

Well, I finished the third in my series of lariats! This one is lovely in greens, steel blues and gray. It also has the added luxury of lots of pearls woven in the rope, hence the name---

"Luxurious":

Well, my studio building has had it's first delay--it's all ready for the concrete, but since it rained all last week--no cement until this Saturday. Which means I get to call the contractor and delay building for a week, and call the electriction....well, you get the idea.

Anywho---more mini-sets in the shop if you're interested :)

Skulls & Bones in the shop if you'd like to make a necklace like Carole's in the Simply Beads October issue!I like these black ones:

Hard to believe it's been almost a week since my last entry! The studio is coming along nicely--ground has been leveled for the cement that will be here on Saturday. The actually building won't start until next week sometime.

But enough of that--you came here for the eye-candy, right? Here's a new style of "spiney" focals I've been working on:

And once again, Carole Rodgers has made up a beautiful piece with my beads and had it published:

You can find this one in the current "Simply Beads" magazine.

I started making beads yesterday at 9:00 p.m! For those of you who don't know me, I used to work well past midnight but since Ayden has come into our lives, 10:00 p.m. is my bedtime :) But when inspiration strikes, I find it best to roll with it! So new beads--more of the big discs, in black & raku:These are about 1-1/4 inch across. Biggin's!

And I played around with some smaller discs in the same color palette--love them! Lots of color and texture:

These are about 3/4 inch across, and there's 29 of them in all! I think I'll have to make some smaller sets of these, (easier on the pocketbook), but what a statement piece these would make all together!
