Hello, again!! Here's a couple of sneak peeks at the new doll I'm working on!! The last one got put to the side until she tells me what she wants next :)
Ayden is staying here for a bit so I've been really busy! Sorry about the long times between blogging--I'm trying to get back on track, but it's been a long time since I was up with a baby and it's wearing me down a little!
Tomorrow I'm going to try to get started on my Beaded Journal page for this month--maybe I can at least get it going before the month is up------

Hello!! I'm back today! I've been very busy with the baby and my husband also had surgery this week--I'm really very tired of hospitals!! Anyway--I've been working on Ayden's Yo-Yo quilt top--here's a picture of some of the Yo-Yo's:

And here's the Twisted Herringbone that was taught at the last bead society meeting:

I didn't get very far but it looks pretty nice--I'll have to work on it more after everyone gets settled in around here!

Ayden weighs 4 lbs 8 oz today! He was very sleepy but I took his picture anyway!

New necklace today--freeform peyote around a carnelian stone, with pearls & multi-strands of seed beads. Handmade gold-filled clasp.

This is 130 batik fabric 4" circles, that will soon be 2" yo-yo's for the top of Ayden's quilt. Probably only half I'll need. All that hand-sewing sound like fun? What's a fabric yo-yo? Stay tuned!! Progress pics along the way. I'll no doubt get it finished right around the time Ayden's celebrating his first b-day :)
This is the bracelet my sister couldn't live without:

Lovely red firepolish and seed beads, sterling clasp. It needs to be a bit shorter--which those of you who know me, know that I would only do for my sister!!
This Sunday I'll be in Grand Island at Stolley Park for their annual Art-in-the-Park. Come see me, won't you?

Well, Kearney was a great show as always!! Hot, too! Thanks to everyone that stopped by to see me and all the new stuff! After the show, I went to Grand Island to see my family---look what my mom made for me! A nice handfull of crochet flowers--too cute! What shall I put them on??

Check out these yummy fabric strawberries from Ronda at http://kivett-studio.blogspot.com/.

I'm deciding if I want to entirely cover them in beads or just highlight them with a few red beads here & there. Better get over there and order yours before they're all gone!! While you're there, check out her Bead E Art Zine--I got my copy a couple of weeks ago and it's full of great tips & techiniques for beaded art dolls. Delicious!!
