It's once again Altered Tuesday!! I made these cool fabric pins--stamped, sewn & embellished:

And some beads--lots & lots of cool funky discs in pairs, in case you'd like to make your own earrings:

Okay, one more post today then I'll be quiet! I'm looking for some honest feedback here, folks! I made these fabric cuff bracelets--they're about 3/4" wide, wildly stitched, frayed & bright colors with a smaller price tag, meant for the younger shopper (teens). What do you think?

Never make those hideous things again!

Or: cool idea--keep running with it & make a bunch for your next show!
Another bracelet finished today!

Oh, I finished the bracelet I started at the Seed-Beader's meeting yesterday! It needed some pressed flower, leaf & drop beads before it was done--all of which I had left at home, naturally!
"Leaf"--

Beads from the kiln yesterday--more blues & greens--go figure!!

Well, I managed to get a couple things finished for Altered Tuesday!!

First, a Beaded Artist Trading Card (BATC) for a swap I'm in--one down, four to go!! This one is made on a fabric base, titled "In the Garden":

Next is a little treasure box I saw on "That's Clever" today--anyone else watch this show? Anyway--I think I'll give it to my mom for her b-day!

Made of matchboxes & mat board. Papered & embellished, of course!!

Well, the show in Des Moines, IA was great fun! Lots of new people who have never seen my jewelry or beads, and lots of friends stopping by to see me. I love the feedback you get from shows, you know?

Anyway, it Altered Tuesday! I haven't altered anything yet today, unless you count this length of rope that I "altered" into a tiny bowl! It's going on my dresser to hold all the loose change & things from my day--thought you might like to see it!

Check back later, I might actually get some time to make an ATC or something, okay? Otherwise, pictures of beads tomorrow!

Here's the mock-up of the ad I'm placing in a Bead E Art Zine--copy courtesy of Ronda Kivett at

She puts out a great little beading publication--you can pre-order the next issue "Art Doll" from her website.

I'm BAAAACK! Here's a new bracelet I've been working on--it's on Etsy right now if you'd like to see more pictures!

Okay, here's the last of the bracelets from my Monday/Tuesday binge---enjoy!!

Southwest Dreamin'--turquoise with a lovely seed bead mix:

Coral Reef--coral chunks with another seed bead mix:

Pink Ocean--pink nuggets of Ocean Jasper, a beautiful pink shell fringed with lots of pearls in pink & white (this one is my favorite--shhh--don't tell the others!):

I finally got around to cleaning & photographing the flowers I made Sunday!

Here's two of the five bracelets I've created this week:

This one is "Twig". Seed beads, leaves and unknown green stones:

This one is "Berries". Seed beads, lovely pearls and unknown dark pink stones:

I bought the stones at Beads & Botanicals, so maybe Carla will chime in with their names! More new bracelet pics soon!

It's Altered Tuesday! I made three more of my mixed-media lapel pins. My favorite is the green center one with the vintage rhinestone. Fabulous!

Okay--the necklace is done! At a whopping 24" long, it can be worn long, or wrapped around the neck twice for a shorter look. My lampwork beads, cording and a sterling clasp.

Sunday, May 06, 2007

Well, Omaha was a good time--lots of really spectacular artwork. I stopped by the local bead shop and picked up some C-lon cording--aren't the colors fantastic? I'm already working on a necklace out of the copper color cord!
My show in Lawrence, Kansas was cancelled due to the weather--so I'll be going to Omaha today to see my friends Tanya & Mary. But here's a pic for you so you don't miss me too much :)

Handbag charms--cute little purses with a small lobster at the top so you can hook it onto a chain or whatever your heart desires! The blue on is on Etsy, the rest will be going to my next show.

Well, it's Altered Tuesday once again! I made an ATC today--

I found a bag of images at a garage sale for 30 cents! The brass heart also came for a garage sale--a necklace, bracelet and earrings full of heart charms for $2.00--can't pass that up!

I also managed to get five, (yes 5!), bracelets made today. Pictures tomorrow!!
