For Altered Tuesday this week you get to see my first Beaded Journal Page--all finished for June!! The birdie has a vintage metal bead eye, a nice party hat honoring Ayden's birth this month, and all sorts of cool treasures in his pocket, including a glass frog, shells, a vintage bronze washer and watch parts:

I'll put some interfacing on the back for stability and then put it back-to-back with the next page (July's) in the book.

And for the Seed Beader's Group in Hastings--here's a picture of the Cellini Spiral that I'll be teaching the Saturday:

You'll need three sizes and colors of seed beads--delicas, 11's and 8's, or I used 11's, 8's & 6's in this example. Needle, thread & wax, too, of course!!

I like your bird with a hat! I understand some birds like crows really do collect things.

Love the party bird! The bracelet is so cool! I always seem to have something else going on that I can't get to the seed bead meetings, darn it!

I love it! I love the party hat and the little pocket o' stuff. I also like the vintage mental button eye. The kids might be leaving by the end of the week, so maybe we can get together and create and hang.

Jodie....I've been waiting for months to be off the weekend the seed beaders meet at B & B. MONTHS! And I'm off on Saturday, finally. It's also my 18th anniversary and my sweetheart and I are headed to where you won't be....Lincoln....for the weekend. The bracelet is so beautiful and I am completely bummed that I'm missing it. My hope is that you can talk fast enough that Carla wants to learn it and then have a class to teach Stephanie and I.???

"Oooooh, this is so cute!" ~ these were my exact words when I scrolled down and saw your June BJP page. I love playfulness and whimsey... yours has a light touch yet a pleasing complexity. Great work!

Tanya--I can send you a link to the directions if you'd like!

Freebird--I think you're right!

Tami--it turned out to be a necklace--I ran out of one of the solors of seed beads before it was long enough to be a bangle!

Stephanie--you need to make it to a meeting--too much fun!

Judy--I like him, too!

Tonia--thanks! Yes, we need to get more pics up on your blog!

Ronda--Thanks--I actually got it finished up, too!

Brenda--I left extra instruction pages with Carla--

Bejeweled--thanks! Now for next month's page!

Grace--yes, he needed something on the bottom--now I'm thinking he needs something on the top part besides the vintage pin, don't you?

Robin--thanks for stopping by! Love the project & am looking forward to starting next month's page!!
