Okay--they're done! A matching pair of bracelets with a sterling "starfish" nestled down in a fringey "reef" and three "sea" glass rings that float over the crochet base. They look lovely together, don't you think??
And my glass order came today!! Yes! Loads of Bullseye glass for me to play with!

While you're waiting for me to finish my latest project (see last post) I thought I'd show you some of the beads I've been making. I'm not too sure about the gray/brick color combo, but I'm sure someone will love them!

It's finished! The crochet rope measures 41" long--the total piece is just under 48" long. That means it can be worn long, or wrapped around twice for a shorter necklace. Boro bead by Marc Kornbluh.

Saturday, December 16, 2006

A work in progress--a lovely crochet rope in green & blue. I'm hoping it to be at 36" long when it's finished. Right now it's at 10". I have a long way to go!! Of course it will have a lovely lampwork bead in it somewhere as well--

Happy Valentines Day!! Oh, wait--it's Christmas still, isn't it? Oh, well! Since my next show is in February, I thought maybe some pink beads were in order.

Wednesday, December 13, 2006

BEADS! These are really round--not donut-shaped like usual. Almost like marbles, but with a hole!
Well, I could show you a picture of my sister's Christmas present, but she reads my blog. So you'll have to wait until after the 25th for that. But I do have beads fresh out of the kiln to show you after I get them clean & their picture taken. Check back later this afternoon/evening!!

Thursday, December 07, 2006

A "corkscrew" pendant.

New beads!! Lampwork "corkscrews" are just over 1" long. "Wheels" are 1 1/2" across and 1/2" wide.

What's not to love here? A beautiful piece of freeform peyote, sterling beads, dangling pearls and a length of sterling chain makes this bracelet adjustable. Perfection!

Monday, December 04, 2006

I finished it! After 2 hard days of fringing--it's finished! Came out nice, don't you think?

Sunday, December 03, 2006

Okay--the picture posting problem has been fixed for now! A work-in-progress: a dichroic piece that I picked up in Tucson. I have the peyote base done, now it needs lots of fringe!!

Saturday, December 02, 2006

Well, for some reason blogger won't let me upload any pictures for you! I'll try again tomorrow--

Wednesday, November 29, 2006

Today was clean up the studio day! After that, I decided to finish beading around this cab that I started a while ago. It's big & beautiful!! Now all I need to do is decide what kind of neckpiece to put it on.

Well, I do have a kiln full of beads, but since it's still too hot to open I thought I'd share my very first soldering project with you. I need lots of practice! It was looking very bad, so I decided to go with the flow and just spike it up. Not very wearable, but cool anyway!
